Shutting down computer

Submitted by Smart Computer User on July 7, 2007 - 7:47am.

Hi... love your radio show. you guys are tops. I have gained a lot from listing from your shows.

I have a question. I have an about 4 year old gateway with windows xp.
my problem is, I have a long time to shut down my computer. I am on of those that shuts my computer down at night. It takes about 5 min or so to get the box that says: shut down, restart, or cancel and another 3 min or so to actually shut down. Is this caused by limited RAM or something else or???? could you give me a quick diagnosis please? My name is Rick Hughes. rhughes@cinci.rr.com.

thanks in advance, and again thanks for all your expertise....

Submitted by Smart Computer User on July 21, 2007 - 1:50pm.

I e-mailed a question on July 7 about how my computer is very slow
shutting down. I have not seen any reply (perhaps you did not reply).
Is there somewhere on this page where you post replies? Or was my question not replied too? If you have a moment will you please send me a quick e-mail to answer. You have helped me in many areas before, but this one is bugging me. LOL.

My e-mail: rhughes27@cinci.rr.co

Rick Hughes. Thanks again for all your previous help.
