Unfortunately, this week we had some technical difficulty with our video chat site, and we had some very immature spammers. Sooo...we cut off the live feed and just did a pure email podcast. If you have emailed the show address in the past two weeks, the answer to your question is in this week's podcast. We probably answered nearly 30 emails. Give it a listen for some great tech information!

A "yes" vote on registered membership
"Life is hard",
Said Mr. Minard
As he shoveled manure
Out in the yard
In hopes that
His roses would grow.
Yep, it's the old lesser of two evils alright.
But there should be some artsy fartsy cool way of putting a strategically placed (on your home page) link to an excellent set of step-by-step instructions for the newest of newbies on how to register a Stickam account and tune into the show.
Personally, I would prefer "boot heel" (getting even by grinding the heel of your jackboot into the face of the bound and helpless offender). I would love to "terminate" the obscenity spammers — that's what they deserve ("the wages of sin is death" Ro 6:23) — if I knew where they lived, but then, after foolishly playing God, I would only get ratted out, arrested, tried, convicted and executed. And, after all that trouble, I would only succeed in losing my friends and missing your show anyway. So — long story short, and all options considered, registration does seem to be the simplest and most logical solution to the problem!
Accordingly, based on the foregoing (lawyers LOVE words like "accordingly" and "foregoing"), I vote "yes" on Stickam registration. :-)
p.s. Oh yes, I almost forgot: a pox on you stinking spammers for forcing a choice between two evils! May you either grow a brain and acquire some grace and wisdom before you reach the end of your pilgrimage. Remember: karma, baby, karma! (Just in case any spammer/s should happen to read this.)
Members only
Yes, going to a members-only chat room is for the best.
Remember, people don't need to register at Stickam to WATCH the video of Rick and Adam, and they can always e-mail their question.
But if someone wants to live-chat, they will need to register, and any troublemakers will likely stay away, as they will know they will have their account banned from the HelpMeRick chatroom if they spam or insult.
Barry,
Chat-room regular
Registered users only
More than likely, we will move to a members/invite only system on the Stickam web site. Unfortunately, the Internet has its share of brain-dead, no respect type people, and they ruin the "open" systems for the rest of us.
Thanks for your support, and we hope you stick with us on Thursday nights.
Wondering what happened
I was wondering what happened, even though I was not able to be there when the show started. I checked around 10PM your time, and noticed you were not live. Let's hope for a solution next week!

I know you're adverse to making the Stickam room exclusive for registered members, but I think it's the lesser of two evils here. Some people may not be able to figure out how to register an account for a while (which could be remedied through a guide written up on your website), there's no difference if the live feeds get cut off anyway.
I've already registered a Stickam account, and I think just making the room members-only will slow the troublemakers down pretty significantly.
