Would you like your computer clock to be accurate within a second every few thousand years? If so, read how to have your computer clock synchronize with super accurate atomic clocks. If you are using the new Windows XP, then this ability is built in to the operating system. To utilize this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Double-click on your clock in the task bar.
  2. Click the Internet Time tab.
  3. Select the time server you want to use.
  4. Click the "Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server" check box.
  5. Click OK

Windows XP will resynchronize about once a week when you are online. If you are using any other Windows operating system, you can synchronize your clock as well using one of the many free downloads available. Here are a few:

  • Atomic Click Sync [1]
  • Atom Time [2]
  • Atomic Time Sync [3]

Have fun with this tip and hopefully be on time!

If this helped, consider buying me a beer or an Americano! [4]
