Spam on the rise again

Submitted by Rick on July 26, 2006 - 4:02pm.
  • Riding Shotgun with Rick

I'm not sure what it it is about late summer, but I have noticed the last few years that my spam is at its worst in late July through September and then it tapers off again until the next summer. I have no idea what the correlation is, but it has been consistent the last three years.

I don't worry about it, however, because my Inbox stays pristine with the help of Cloudmark Desktop. You have heard Adam and I rave about this product for nearly four years now. Without it, I would have probably given up email years ago!

Grammar in articles.

Submitted by Smart Computer User on July 28, 2006 - 2:38pm.

I very much appreciate your show and website, but I cringe when I see extremely intelligent people misuse our language. Here's a tip in the interests of better grammar everywhere: The easy way to achieve correct pronoun usage is to consider each pronoun separate from a linking pronoun or noun. Thus, if you remove the name "Adam" from the phrase,"You have heard Adam and I rave..." you easily see that you would NOT say, "You have heard I rave."

We understand what it's like to have a pet peeve. We will work on our grammar. Our spelling is a lost cause.
