Hacking the PSP sounds like a geek book for people who play too many video games. This is true in that you must have a PSP and be comfortable tinkering with it. But even as a person who doesn't own a PSP, I found this book very interesting.

Hacking the PSP is a must have accessory for any PSP owner.

This book does cover certain geek topics like how to save your XBox games on the PSP, how to mount the PSP in your car using an ash tray two microphone extensions and some Epoxy, there is also a section on how to setup your PSP to browse the web.

The best part of the book (at least from my point of view) is the non-geek stuff. I particularly like the section in the back that tells you where you can order spare parts. Hacking the PSP also explains step by step how to take your PSP and if you read this section backwards it will tell you how to put it back together again.

No matter whether the hack is a geek topic or something that anyone can do, each section explains the purpose of the hack and all of the tools necessary right at the very start of the section.

Hacking the PSP is highly recommended for anyone who has a PSP and for $24.99 cover price, it is also one of the cheapest accessories.
