High Tech DVD Rental

Do you like convenience? Do you like shopping in your pajamas? Do you enjoy renting movies? Do you forget which movies you want to rent?

If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then online DVD rental services may be a great fit for you. My family has been using Netflix online rental service for more than two years now and enjoy it immensely. For less than $18 month, Netflix sends us three DVD's at a time in the mail. Every time we return one (in postage paid envelopes), the next one in our queue is immediately shipped. Extremely efficient and convenient. Netflix carries every DVD ever released. You can find classics, documentaries, TV series, sports DVD's and more.

After signing up with Netflix, you start adding movies to your queue by using their web site search engine. You can search for movies by actor, title, or even directors. We like to keep a pad of paper next to our TV to write movies down we would like to rent based on previews, current releases at the movies, etc. Then we enter them in our online queue. The queue can be reordered anytime and typical turnaround time on a DVD is three business days.

Another great aspect of online video rental is recommendations. Netflix uses a five star rating system. As you rate movies using the system, which involves simply clicking on the star corresponding to your rating, the service will make recommendations based on your preferences.

Netflix is the largest of the online DVD rental businesses, but some very familiar names also have online rental options. Blockbuster made their foray into this amazing market a little over a year ago. Blockbuster's service works similarly to Netflix's, but doesn't offer the breadth of titles, vast number of regional shipping centers, or great online management that Netflix offers.

The bottom line for online rentals for DVD is that you can get convenience, selection, and flexibility right from your computer. For people with limited transportation options, these types of services are perfect. They all offer free trial periods and none of them require a long range contract. Take a look at the links I have provided for you to learn even more.

If this helped, consider buying me a beer or an Americano!
