Voice over IP (VoIP) is taking the phone world by storm. VoIP is a system of making telephone calls though the Internet instead of over traditional phone lines. By circumventing phone lines, you can drastically reduce the cost of your long distance calls....down to nothing in some cases.

Skype also allows for users to call regular telephones or cell phones for a nominal charge...most major countries cost only 1.7 cents per minute!
