Spybot

Submitted by Smart Computer User on March 31, 2007 - 2:59pm.

Just as your show ended today you made a comment about Spybot. I installed it a few weeks ago and now I'm wondering if it was a good idea. Should I keep it or remove it?
Thanks!

SpyBot Search & Destroy is good

Submitted by Rick on April 1, 2007 - 10:29am.

IF you are using the one and only SpyBot Search & Destroy (that has to be the complete name of the product...any other may be an imposter. The original can be found at www.safer-networking.org).

The caller we were talking to had a specific issue with SpyBot which the easiest solution for HIM seemed to be to uninstall SpyBot and reinstall it later.

GPS

Submitted by Smart Computer User on March 31, 2007 - 11:44am.

I have an old (four years old, 256 ram )XP laptop computer I use with a Delorme GPS. When I take trips in my small RV I would be lost without my GPS. There are very remote places in the USA. Places like NYC has too many elevated train strutures, tall buildings and bridges to be really helpful. It's good in the boon-docks of Tx, NM, etc.
I enjoy your show.

GPS

My internal mental system works fine. The wife might say otherwise though. In her directions GPS stands for Gone Past Street.
