Video Tips not loading on Unix machine

Submitted by Smart Computer User on August 7, 2007 - 2:11pm.

What's the difference between your "Video Tour of HelpMeRick.com" and some of the other video tips?
The Video Tour starts playing immediately and I can view it all. Some of the other tips flash a black box for a second and then disappear. If I right click where the black box was, I get a message that "movie not loaded..." and
I can't seem to get it to load. This is a HP Unix machine at work, and I don't think I can install a new version of the Flash player. But like I say, the Video Tour plays OK?

Youtube is the difference

The video tour is hosted on our site and the other videos are hosted by YouTube. Getting the latest flash player may make the difference. Also make sure you are using FireFox.

You Tube blocked at work.

Submitted by Smart Computer User on August 8, 2007 - 12:11am.

Thanks for replying, Adam. I'm afraid YouTube.com is blocked by the domain name server at work. I would only be able to watch those videos at work that you have hosted on your site. However, I can watch those YouTube videos on my Mac at home. Thanks for pointing out the link for the RSS podcast feed at the bottom of your homepage. I was the one who asked about subscribing and suggested finding out what Computer America did to get their podcasts so that they formatted with hourly descriptions. I think they 'pioneered' the way with Apple's help to get it working correctly.
